Staying at Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport: Great for Families
Are you planning to visit Boston? With so many attractions and things to do, Boston is an excellent place for a little family getaway. Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is the ideal place to stay for your family trip in Boston.
Omni Hotels and Resorts is one of my favorite hotel chains due to its high-quality service and comfortable accommodations. Not surprisingly, I was over the moon when Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport hosted my family during our Weekend Trip to Boston. We loved every minute spent here.
We loved how luxurious, comfortable, and Family-friendly the hotel was, with some fantastic Boston attractions within walking distance. I am breaking down everything the hotel offers to guests and sharing our personal experiences, which is all 100% my opinion.

Hotel Overview
Location
Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the heart of Boston’s Seaport district.
When you stay at Omni Seaport, you are just walking distance from major family-friendly attractions such as the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, the New England Aquarium, Harbour Walk, The Children’s Museum, and Snowport Christmas Village. The hotel is also a few minutes from Logan International Airport.
Whether you are traveling solo for business or with a family for a mini vacation, The Omni Hotel offers something to everyone.
Design and Architecture
The minute we arrived at the hotel, my eyes caught the hotel’s large lobby and a colorful contemporary design with a touch of elegance. Modern artwork and sophisticated furnishings throughout the property created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We visited during the holiday season, and in addition to the beautiful art, the hotel lobby was decorated with multiple Christmas trees that brought out warm and festive vibes. Precisely the type of atmosphere we were looking for.
Parking
The hotel provides secure on-site private parking with valet service if you are driving. However, there is an additional parking fee for guests.
Rooms and Suites
Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport offers a range of accommodation types to cater to different preferences. You can choose from guest rooms, including spacious suites for a family stay, specialty suites for someone looking for an extra touch of luxury, or a minimalist room for an individual traveler.
Comfort and Quality
Like most of you, the quality of the beds, cleanliness, and shower can make or break the entire hotel experience for me. Thanks to the fantastic bedding they invest in for guests, I had one of the best sleeps at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. My husband and a 4-year-old would agree.
The room was exceptionally clean with complimentary robes ready hung in the closet.
Additionally, the hotel offers top-notch air conditioning systems, which allowed us to adjust the temperature according to our preferences. Another must-have to feel the comfort and quality of the room.

Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport has various amenities to cater to your multiple needs. The rooms include:

- An iron and ironing board
- Complimentary Robes
- Baby pack-and-play if you staying with a baby
- A kitchenette in select rooms
- And my favorite: A vanity table in the hallway.
Family Friendly
When staying at Omni Boston, you will feel at home surrounded by a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Kids are welcome here. We felt it from the moment we arrived. Our little travelers received gift bags upon arrival; very thoughtful of the hotel.
If your kids love books, check out a family-friendly book selected from Seaport team members as part of the Read in Bed program.
The hotel also offers kid-friendly menus and other necessities such as high chairs, pack-n-plays, cribs, potty seats, and disposable changing pads.
In addition, Omni Boston Seaport also offers an exciting program, “Seaport’s First Mate’s Club,” where kids can find many games and have a lot of fun.
Omni Boston (Seaport) is undoubtedly the ideal hotel if you prioritize some family-friendly attractions as it is close to some of our favorite attractions, such as the Harbor Walk, New England Aquarium, and Snowport Christmas Village.
If you travel with your furry animals instead of kids, you are still in-luck because the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is pet-friendly!
Dining and Cuisine
When you stay at Omni Boston at the Seaport, you have multiple dining options. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to explore all of them, but we loved the Kestra Restaurant and the Bakery so much!
Whether you’re on a weekend getaway or a business trip, the restaurant’s culinary team ensures the dishes are made using the freshest ingredients, offering an unforgettable experience.
Coquette Restaurant
If you are looking for one of the best restaurants in Boston, check out the Coquette at the Boston Seaport Hotel. While we have not dined here to share my personal experience, the restaurant was rated the best hotel restaurant in 2022 to Dine in Boston by Boston Magazine. You will find some French and Spanish-inspired Cuisine and great seafood items here.
Kestra Restaurant
Slightly more casual than Coquette, Kestra Restaurant was our go-to place to eat at the hotel, perfect for our family’s needs. It offered a flexible all-day dining schedule with high-quality Mediterranean and American food and the warmest service. We met some fantastic servants and had a friendly conversation between our meals.
I tried their avocado toast one morning and the salmon bagel the next day. They were both delicious.
My kid had a uniquely done fried French toast that he and his brother loved having both mornings, with a large fruit plate enough for the entire family.
The Sporting Club
Are you looking for a fun place to hang out with friends or need a place to eat and enjoy a game? Sporting Club at the hotel is a great place to chill while enjoying locally inspired food and cocktails in a sporting atmosphere.
Crescendo Lobby Bar
After a day of exploring the city, you can relax in the hotel’s well-appointed bar and lounge. This inviting venue serves various drinks, from refreshing mineral water to creative cocktails with a local twist. The bar and lounge also offer a small menu of gourmet bites, perfect for an evening of unwinding.
Also note that the hotel revolves around the arts (performing, creative, music, fashion, etc.), and the Crescendo lobby becomes the “Lobby Stage,” which hosts live music every Thursday – Saturday. We loved the live musician’s piano performance during our stay!
Cocorico
If you are in a hurry in the morning or want a special treat for a day, stop by this French-inspired bakery. They offer delicious artisan pastries, French baguettes, and specialty coffees. They made me a delightful caramel latte here.
Wellness Amenities
The hotel provides a fully equipped fitness center to help guests maintain their workout routine during their stay. The center offers a variety of cardio machines, strength-training equipment, and free weights.
For those seeking a more relaxing experience, the Breve Spa provides a selection of treatments such as massages, facials, and body treatments.
The hotel also features a luxurious hot tub and a heated outdoor pool for guests to enjoy year-round.
Additionally, Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport has an expansive business center to accommodate business travelers. The hotel also offers a variety of meeting rooms and function spaces for events and conferences.
Nearby Attractions
Logan Airport
The Omni Boston hotel is conveniently located near Boston Logan International Airport, only an 8-minute drive away.
Downtown Boston
The hotel is just a short walk from downtown Boston, where you can explore the city’s rich history, shopping streets, and diverse dining options.
Boston Harbor
Furthermore, the hotel’s location near the Boston Harbor offers picturesque waterfront views and opportunities to enjoy activities such as boat tours or harbor cruises.
New England Aquarium
Our family’s favorite, the New England Aquarium, is a must-visit in Boston! We walked from the hotel for about 25 minutes, and if the weather permits, I highly recommend doing so. We passed by beautiful Harbor views worth snapping a picture of.
Boston Convention and Exhibition Center
The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) is a state-of-the-art facility. It is located in the Seaport District and only steps away from the Boston Seaport Hotel! It’s a popular destination for various events, including trade shows, conventions, and exhibitions.
Snowport Winter Village
Are you visiting Boston During the Holiday Season? Check out the Snowport Christmas Market in Seaport—only a 15-minute walk from the Hotel.
The Snowport Holiday Market is located at 100 Seaport Boulevard and is open from November 10 through December 31st. Here, you can browse local vendor stores, indulge in delicious food, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport: Overall Experience
Staying at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport felt like a little staycation for our family. With a mix of luxury and a warm, friendly atmosphere, I would return in a heartbeat.
The check-in was speedy and smooth. We arrived a little early on a Saturday before the check-in time, but they let us in. We always make sure to put the note for possible early check-ins because, with kids, I like to settle in earlier. It is a great perk, and I appreciate the hotel’s generosity.
Kids were welcomed with a sweet arts and crafts package that was very thoughtful, too. The room had everything we needed for our stay, including the baby pack-and-play, toiletries, and robes.
Throughout our stay, the hotel was tranquil. Given the weekend, I expected some noise, but we did not have any issues of loud parties or anything similar.
Kestra Restaurant was our go-to place, perfect for our family’s needs. It offered terrific all-day dining service with high-quality food and the warmest service.
We loved the location, as it is a little farther away from the tourist center. The hotel was within walking distance of a few attractions we visited, which we loved. However, you will need transportation to the center of Boston for other attractions.
To sum it up in one sentence, I highly recommend staying at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport when you visit Boston.
